Coming Soon: This feature will be enabled in the near future, allowing you to update your MFA between Authenticator or SMS within the Employer Portal.
Log in to the Employer Portal.
Click your profile name in the top-right of the header.
Select Profile settings.
On the left-hand side, click the 'Security and privacy tab'.
On the Security and privacy screen, in the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) section, click 'Update'.
A modal will appear asking you to authenticate with your current MFA method (SMS). Enter the code and click 'Continue'.
The Select your preferred MFA method screen appears.
Change the selection from SMS to Authenticator App.
Click 'Continue'.
On the MFA via authenticator app screen:
Download an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).
Scan the QR code using the app, or copy the secret key manually.
Click 'Continue'.
On the Check your authenticator app screen, enter the 6-digit code from your app and click 'Verify'.
The MFA updated confirmation screen appears.
Click 'Done'.
What you’ll see:
You are returned to the Security and privacy screen.
MFA preference is now updated to Authenticator App.
